Who we are
We are the Esquimalt Proton Pulverizers - FTC Team 23809 and FRC Team 7334, a community-based team aimed at engaging local teens in robotics. Our team strives to learn, develop skills, and explore topics related to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Our goals are to engineer, design, build, program and operate a competitive FIRST robot that meets the challenge of the problem set out for us. Success is measured in each member of the team gaining the ability to problem solve individually and as a unit, in addition to being able to explain what they have learned through this challenging adventure.
We are proud to offer students from multiple schools on Vancouver Island with the opportunity to learn and compete in robotics.
Experience
Our team started with the Esquimalt Atom Smashers approaching local middle schools with an opportunity to explore FIRST robotics. This year was our second season competing in FIRST Technical Challenge, and we will be back again in the fall!
We were excited to explore a bigger and bolder challenge this summer - FIRST Robotics Competition! With some assistance from our mentor team, the Esquimalt Atom Smashers, we built a robot to compete in the Canadian Rockies Open 2025 and are went to Bellevue, WA for Bordie in Show in October!
We Have raised enough to register and compete as a full FRC team this year. Thank-you to our sponsors for your generous contributions, and the Esquimalt Atom Smashers for giving us other forms of support. We are now looking for sponsors to help us buy parts, travel and eventually make this team sustainable enough to compete again next year.
